Welcome to SNAU
Swaziland National Agricultural Union (SNAU) is an apex body for all farmer organizations in Swaziland. It was established with the support from the Swaziland Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and Southern African Confederation of Agricultural Union (SACAU) following the demand by farmers in 2007 at the National Agricultural Summit.
At the summit farmers strongly recommended the establishment of an independent apex body that will represent farmers, promote and safeguard their interest.
The aim of the SNAU is to promote and safeguard the interest of farmers in Swaziland by linking farmers with stakeholders, facilitating a favorable environment for production, access to land, water, markets, research and technology for improvement of their livelihoods.
Membership
Membership of the Union consists of regional and National Commodity Associations, National Cooperative Unions, farmers’ organizations whose applications are approved by the Annual General Meeting.
